Nexus Family Recovery Center in Dallas

Nexus Family Recovery Center, based in Dallas, Texas, has received the funding of $1.8 million from The Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) for its Child Development Center, and this funding will help Nexus to enhance its center for child development.

The funding will be used for the parents who are suffering from SUD or substance use disorder and will help in breaking the cycle of trauma, thus helping them to recover from this mental health issue. The center has never received public funding previously, and it’s their first time that they have received a grant ever because of their good work for the mothers and their children’s togethers.

Heather Emmanuel Ormand is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at Nexus Recovery Center, and she started this center in the year of 2020 for women who are looking for long-term recovery for their families. Equity, diversity, and inclusion are at the heart of the values of the center.
