The San Francisco-based HealthEx has raised around 14 million dollars in Series A and Seed funding from General Catalyst and Electric Capital. The company is mainly into the automation of security and compliance processes in the health data access, which is one of the most complex landscapes in today’s world.

The company was founded by Priyanka Agarwal and Anand Raghavan, and it was created to automate the AI-driven preference and consent platform, which will accelerate the use of patient data for complex security and compliance processes for healthcare and medical organizations.

The company is actively working to improve data management and mitigate disruptions in data innovation.

Priyanka Agarwal, while working with MyoKardia, has seen the misuse of data, such as how this data is being sold to third-party vendors who are using it as per their convenience. And with the aim to stop misuse of this data and to use this data only with your consent and by you, your doctor, and your hospital, she worked on the HealthEx platform.

Anand Raghavan also has a deep knowledge in the technological field and helped in scaling up his last company from a startup to operating in the public markets.
