Samsung has acquired AI medical technology startup, Sonio to advance its presence in the healthcare sector and accelerate growth in the use of Ultrasound technology in global maternal care.

The startup, which automates ultrasound reporting to help clinicians make well-informed interpretations, was cleared last year by the FDA to be used by healthcare professionals for prenatal imaging.
